I have this same problem. Also, I am not able to do a system recovery, the error message says I need 2.3 GB to do the restore to another date. I don't have that much showing as used on my system.

Hi Carolyn,

Glad to know that you resolved the issue. Feel free to get back to us for any Windows related queries in the future; we’d be happy to help. Have a great day!

Hi Teresa,

Is any error message displayed when you launch the store app or does it just freeze like Carolyn has mentioned?

I would suggest you to try these steps and check if they help:

Method 1:

Run the apps troubleshooter which can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings. Here is a link to download the troubleshooter:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=268423

Method 2:

If the troubleshooter didn’t detect any incorrect settings, then it is possible that some third party software is causing the issue. If you have installed any third party antivirus software, I would suggest to temporarily disable it and check.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If you have setup a proxy connection, I would suggest you to disable the proxy and check. Refer these steps:

  1. Click the Gear box at the top right corner in Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
  4. Uncheck the option “Use a Proxy Server for your LAN”.
  5. Click Apply and Ok to save changes.

Method 3:

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to reset the Windows store cache and check. Refer to these steps:

  1. Press Windows key +R, type WSReset and press enter
  2. Check Windows store app is launched automatically after the reset is complete.
  3. Check if the issue persists.

Try these steps and let us know the results.

There was no error message that I could see. The app would just circle around like it was waiting to open but didn't. So I have reinstalled Windows on my tablet, which of course fixes the problem. There must have been an update to the store app that did not complete correctly, I don't know. But I hope that MS can figure it out to prevent it from happening again. This is the 3rd time I have had to reinstall Windows. So needless to say I'm almost ready for Apple, although really love the way Windows is designed for the most part.
Hi,

Thank you for updating us with the state of the issue. Incase if you face any issues with the store in future, you may try Method 3 from the following link:
