Every year OMAC Indiana sponsors
the largest martial arts tournament in the state, the
Battle of Indianapolis, to be held this year on July 30-31 in downtown Indianapolis.
The Battle of Indianapolis is a U.S. Open Martial Arts Tournament, with competition events for all styles of martial arts, including:
TaeKwonDo
Karate
Kung Fu
TangSooDo
Tai Chi
There will be five types of competition events in the Battle of Indianapolis:
Forms (Poomse)
Weapons (Moo Ki)
Self Defence (Ho Shin Sool)
Breaking (Kyuk Pa)
Sparring (Kyorugi)
Competitors may compete in any martial
arts style.
Divisions with less than 5 competitors will be combined with the next closest
division.
Safety is our goal. Mandatory sparring equipment includes:
Head gear
Mouth piece
Chest pad
Groin cup (males)
Shin and instep pad
In order to ensure equity, all breaking materials must be purchased at the tournament site.
