You'll need to follow the instructions in the KN article I posted earlier - they need to reset the account for you.

This is with a hotmail/outlook.com account?

Do you have all Office updates installed? Go to Windows Update and check.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2802703 - you can either submit the request form on that page, switch to IMAP, or turn off Outlook and all devices for 24 hours and see if it clears on it's own.

Hi Diane,

Thank you for the assistance. It is an Outlook.com account and email. I have all of the updates and I have submitted three service support tickets to Microsoft which have not been answered regarding the same error message seen below.

I uninstalled Office 2013 Home and Business and installed a free trial of Office 386. I still get the same error message for Outlook 2013. I currently access my outlook.com email address through the web. People from MS say it is a MS server problem. ( as described in KB2802703).

I did try turning off all devices for 24 hours. ( no effect ). Still getting the error:

Error Message

"There are too many devices syncing with this account. To sync using Outlook, try removing another device that is connected with this account such as a phone or another computer."

Error Code: 0x80004005

This is the error I get continuously - This is described in kb2802703

Thank you for the suggestion.

After 4 Support Ticket submissions over the last month, the account was reset by MS Friday April 4th late afternoon. Everything is working fine now.
