Excel 2010 pivot table row field returns blank when source field larger than 255 characters

In the past, when you included a text field larger than 255 characters in the row labels section of a pivot table, Excel would truncate the field to the first 255 characters. Now, in 2010, I find it won't display the text at all. Is there some setting I'm missing to correct this?

Frustrated.

Yeah, I definitely posted this too soon. I seem to have gremlins in my system today. Text is now magically appearing (i didn't change a thing), but now I have other workbooks that won't open at all. Fun fun!

Sorry to bother you.

I've tried row labels larger than 255 characters and I couldn't replicate your problem. I saved the data as a .xls file and Excel truncated the labels but in .xlsx format it was fine.
