Are there any free add ons for movie maker? Like effects/transitions? D:

I have windows7, and updated wmm, but was wandering

if there were any free Add ons, transitions, effects, stuff of that sort,

theres just not enough custom effects, its all default, so to speak.

If not, does anyone know of any other movie makers i could download? Free?

My friend makes videos, and he knows how to add text thats turned sideways, upside down etc,

and when he adds music the text 'thumps' to the beat of music like dubstep, idk if he just does that or if its

some sort of effect? Idk what sort of mm he uses either.

If anyone has any anwers? lol, im having alot of trouble finding these,

googled like crazy for about a week.

Thanks guys. - Brittany.

Movie Maker doesn't have any text animations for sideways or upside down text, or text that "thumps". But if you create a text title (I'm discussing WMM 6.0 here), you could apply an effect to that title on the video track. You could apply a 'Rotate 180' effect, or a custom "Heartbeat" effect (find "Heartbeat" in this post.)
Hi Brittany,

We have some plug ins that you could add on your WIndows Live Movie Maker, please see the link I have provided below:

http://plugins.live.com/movie-maker/browse?orderby=featured&page=1

Please note that those plug-ins are only for publishing movies in Windows Live Movie Maker. We currently don't have any free transitions & effects that you could download and add to the program in Windows Live Movie Maker. However, this is really a great idea and would be a convenient feature to have. You may submit this to our feed back team at http://feedback.live.com

Thanks!

If you want custom transitions, effects and titles, you'll have to install the prior "classic" version of Movie Maker.

Windows Movie Maker 6.0 on Windows 7.

i only have 68.2 gigs on my harddrive so i havent downloaded it yet,

cleaning the computer out a bit.

But i read up on it, it seems legit.

Thanks for reading i know i typed alot.

Your answer really helped,

thanks. :P

Had enough room for the plugins,

their great.

Thanks for reading,

appreciate it. :P

ANd if anyone else has an answer to this "add text thats turned sideways, upside down etc,

and when he adds music the text 'thumps' to the beat of music like dubstep"

Please let me know,

thanks for your help so far!

Really appreciate it (:

Thanks so much,

exactly what i've been looking for.

I appreciate it.

Lots.

Can I install WMM6.0 and keep the latest version (2012 build 16.4) I already have without a problem (Windows 7) or do I need to uninstall my current version first.

Will the old "classic" version let me reverse the video?

===================================
You should be able to run both versions. Just for
insurance, create a System Restore point before
installing the earlier Vista 6.0 version.

The following freebie will reverse the video...then
you can import the reversed version into Movie
Maker if you wish.

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Xander's Video Time Reversal 2.06
http://www.xander.free.fr/info/Time_Reversal/index_en.html
(Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8)

Ignore the first few Download buttons and scroll
down to the following blue text.

To download Video Time Reversal 2.06
(13.5 MB, exe file)
Click on the following button
Download!

A new screen will open and there may be a pause...
just wait for the download dialog to appear.

Also...about transitions and effects...the following
software is not free but there is a wealth of choices.
