After upgrading from Internet Explorer 8 to Internet Explorer 9, it freezes and I can't get the internet to work

Hi there

I have tried several times to update my Internet explorer 8 to 9 but everytime I tried as soon as I start the internet explorer 9 it freezes and I can't get the internet to work. My computer is a Toshiba and its running winodws 7 home premium it is running on the 64bits

What do I need to do?
